Description

5-Hydroxymethylcytosine dCTP can be used in nucleotide mixtures to generate PCR amplicons using ZymoTaq, QuestTaq, or other DNA polymerases.

Technical Specifications

Applicable For PCR amplicons containing 5-methylcytosine are useful in a variety of applications such as studying 5-methylcytosine binding/interacting proteins or defining methods that distinguish between 5-methylcytosine and 5-hydroxymethylcytosine.
Concentration 5-Hydroxymethyl dCTP: 10µmol/100 µl as a [100 mM] solution.
Sample Storage 5-Hydroxymethylcytosine dCTP is guaranteed for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. For long-term storage, aliquoting is recommended with storage at -80°C.
