Premade sterile 0.5 M IPTG solution that is ideal for culture media or agar plates. The IPTG solution has been formulated for consistent inactivation of the lac repressor. The IPTG solution can be used in conjunction with X-Gal for blue-white colony screening or by itself to induce expression of recombinant genes under control of the lac operon.
